Fill These Hearts

Our annual retreat in December is a great opportunity for all young adults, ages 18-39, to spend some time away and connect with others who are also seeking more in this life.

About our retreats

Each December we host our Fill These Hearts Young Adult Retreat for folks ages 18-39! The specific theme and content varies from year to year, but we always desire the talks, personal reflection, prayer, small group discussion, sacraments, community, and time away to “Fill YOUR Heart!”

For the first time since we began this retreat 9ish years ago, we are bringing in a young priest to lead and guide our weekend and we could not be more thrilled about it! Keep reading to learn more about the:

“What Should I Do?” Retreat

We hear it from so many of you...

and we ask ourselves too:

“What Should I Do?”

Should I take this job?

Should I go to grad school?

Should I move to Chicago?

Should I buy a house?

Should I discern priesthood?

Should I try online dating?

Should I propose?

Should we move to a suburb?

Should we start having a family?

Should we send our kids to Catholic or public school?

Whether it’s a big decision or a small one, it’s important to choose well. But so often, we get stuck. We don’t feel like God gives us a clear answer and we aren’t sure whether to take action, or just stay where we are.

Luckily, we have a great saint, St. Ignatius of Loyola, who was a master decision maker. His “rules for discernment” have helped countless people make good decisions for nearly 500 years.

Father Michael Rossmann, a young Jesuit priest, will be coming to our retreat to help us learn the rules and principals of Ignatius’ guide to discernment. From the question we all ask ourselves, “What Should I Do?”, to understanding how God speaks, to the characteristics and how to respond to Consolation and Desolation, we will learn practical tools to make decisions in our lives with God!
